Does Your Website Work For You?

Posted on: October 4th, 2019

Just because you have a website does not mean it’s working for your firm.

Is your website marketing for you and your law firm 24/7? Or is it only showcasing your firm?  We know it should do both. Your website should create business for you while also displaying your accomplishments in a professional way.  Success begets success. Potential clientele need to see that their Attorney is an accomplished and successful professional, and with easy access to the information they are looking for.

If your potential clients can easily find out about your firm in 30 seconds or less, they are less likely to go back to Google.  Your message in your website should echo who you are and what you do. You don’t want to create a bad experience for someone who isn’t your client yet.

Do you show up on a Mobile Device?

As we see the sale of smartphones on the rise, we can see that More than Two-Thirds of Households access internet on mobile devices. Having your website show up on a Mobile Device makes it very easy for a client to call you with a click of a button.  If your website is showing the full desktop version, then you are making it hard for people to reach out to you. Not to mention, Google frowns upon this and will use this in a factor when they rank you and your website.

Can someone quickly find the help they need?

When someone does a search for any Attorney, they are looking for help.  Some will ask family members, or coworkers for advice on who to hire as a Lawyer.  Others may look to Television, Print, or Billboards. But in this day and age, almost everyone is looking on the internet.  How do you show up? What page on Google do you show up. People will quickly find the information they need, but can people find your firm on Google.

Can they find Recommendation/Reviews about your services?

There are hundreds of review sites for attorneys.  Google, Facebook, Yelp, and the BBB are at the top of the list.  What people are saying, and how you respond is equally important as your website.  Your website should always match the positive reviews that people are leaving for your firm.  If you claim to be the Best in your city, your reviews should back that claim up. Also, when someone gives you a bad review how and when you respond makes a difference.  You want to show people that you are responsive and transparent.
